More people than ever before are seeing a therapist. This has been helped by the number of celebrities who have spoken openly about their own mental health struggles — the stigma has been challenged and quite rightly. TV, advertisers, publicity campaigns, health services are encouraging us to get in touch with feelings/emotions in order for us to make sense of our lives and to acknowledge that, 'it's OK not to feel OK.'
Friends, families, work colleagues can often offer support and understanding but a professional counsellor will work with you so that you are aware of what you can change and the steps required to move on in your life.
There are some charities and establishments — as well as the NHS — which will offer free or at least encourage you to give a donation for work undertaken. The only difficultly is that there tends to be a long waiting list and you may only be offered a certain number of hourly sessions. Nevertheless, please don't discount any of these organisations for they truly offer an invaluable service.
The advantages of going privately and working with me is that the first initial assessment is free with no obligations on either of us to continue. You will normally be seen within a week and my fees are some of the lowest in the country — however low fees does not mean an inferior service. I am here to help if I can.

£30/hour — Individual Counselling for students in full-time education and those unemployed.

£45/hour — Individual Counselling from 8.00am to 5.00pm — Monday through Thursday.

£45/hour — Individual Counselling from 8.00am to 2.00pm. Fridays Only.

£55/hour — Individual Counselling from 5:30pm to 7.00pm — Monday & Tuesday Evenings Only.

£70/hour — Relationship/Couple Counselling.

Sessions held outwith normal working hours will be discussed with clients beforehand.
